i included the sketch here because the guy’s face still makes me laugh. in the end i changed his pose to make it more clear that he was scared of the cockroach.

thanhbuutran; Love this! XD

Friends?

Oh here’s a thought, let’s hang out with your best friend one last time because she’s going away for a year and a half, but it’s probably only going to be once because you are really busy with all your commitments. On the other hand you could run with her, but isn’t that hanging out more than once? Right, you have the time for training, but not your best friend. Got it. Cool. That is some damn good thinking.

^ Came from my bestest friend today.

I just love books and libraries and the smell of books and complete silence except the sound of someone flipping the pages and i just love words and paper and fictional characters and all the feelings my destiny is to live inside a bookstore

thanhbuutran; Okay so lets do a little review about this movie. The Great Gatsby was the BEST FUCKING MOVIE EVER!! Where do I even start? Overall, I loved how they stayed true to the book, although most people if they haven’t read the book would get a little confused, just because they didn’t study and analyze the significance of the green light, looking eyes, etc.
The casting job was phenomenal! I thought that Carry Mulligan’s performance was superb, she still doesn’t quite cut it as a Daisy for me. Don’t get me wrong, she fits the cute and dainty aspects, but Daisy has to be more beautiful than that. She was portrayed as the golden girl, she had to be stunning and beautiful.
The costumes for men was from Brooks and Brothers, which I loved because it was very well depicted in the book that most were very stylish.  Women’s costumes were nice, just Daisy’s weren’t as nice as I’d hope to be. Although, all of the accessories for men and women were amazing. The jewellery was in partnership with Tiffany & Co., and the more interesting part was that Tiffany went into their archives and pulled out designs from that era and reproduced them for the movie, which could now be purchased from their website: http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Category.aspx?cid=2605758&mcat=148206 . Some of the accessories were also antiques/authentics from Tiffany’s archives! Not only that, but Scott Fitzgerald was a leading client for Tiffany at the time too. Everything couldn’t have fell together more perfectly.
And finally, where to start with Gatsby … Leonardo DiCaprio was perfection in this movie. Perfection. They couldn’t have picked a better Gatsby, he was MADE for this role. Not only is he outstandingly good looking, but every facial reaction he made was amazing. The way he would give Daisy that stare, that hopeless romantic stare, it was a sight to see. He has never won an Oscar in his life, hopefully after this movie he will, because he is such an amazing actor and deserves the recognition!

I think I fall a little in love with people when I catch them in small moments, when they think no one’s looking at them, when they absently twirl a strand of hair between their fingers, when they lick their thumb to turn a page in a book. There’s something beautiful about a person who is lost in a thought, or adjusting their shirt, or is scratching a phantom itch on their arm, or even someone who is looking at someone else like I am looking at them.
